New Rose Bed

Setting out to accomplish a single task I found others cropped up begging to be completed first.  So was the case of my rose garden.

To get my vegetable garden’s raised beds set, I need to first get the new fence completed as it will sit just behind the 4 x4 beds.  To do the fence, I needed to get stacks of granitic rocks stashed on the side of the house moved to get full access to the fence.  The rocks will look nice as a wall to surrounds a future rose garden.  I had been trying to decide what to do with the area at the back of the yard where two large bushes had been removed because of their poor growth and scraggly (technical term) appearance.  This area gets a good amount of morning sun until around noon.  So it doesn’t get as much as most rose would like, but I think it will do just fine, especially if I can get the ash thinned out.

To create the raised bed with the left over granite from the front yard, I hired Nguyen Garden Service and Landscaping.  Mr. Nguyen got it completed quite quickly, and I think it turned out great!  The cost of the wall and soil, $850.
