The results of my soil test show that I need nitrogen in both the vegetable and shade garden.
I would also like to reduce the pH in the shade garden to see if this may help perk up some of my plants that may want a more acidic soil.
For Nitrogen and pH Fix:
Schultz 15 lb. Super 21-0-0 Ammonium Sulfate with Coated Urea
Application rate suggested by soil analysis:
Nitrogen: 0.3 lb. N per 100 sq. ft. to the soil. For each 0.1 lb. of N needed, apply about ¼ lb. urea, or ½ lb. ammonium sulfate.
What I was not told was how often an application like this should take place?
