Bees, Bees, Bees in the Trees!

Right on time!  I plant a garden to help my bee friends and they decide to take up residence in my tree.

Wondering what kind of bees these are – they seem more jumpy than the typical honey bee.

Bees making their home

The hole used to be a nest that was home to baby squirrels and originally a pair of flickers.  The flicker’s mating call consists of pounding on our furnace vent on the roof, a very unpleasant racket at 5 am!  So welcome bees!
